About Me
Some Random Things…
I have a 7 year old cat named Peggy and a 4 year old Rat Terrier mix named Sybil. My male cat Mikey decided that indoor life was not for him, so he’s living his best life with my parents in Portugal.
Throughout my life I have always been very passionate about volunteering my time to various organizations. I have worked with large organizations such as Random Acts Org. and Free The Children/WE Charity. I’ve been so lucky to learn many amazing skills while doing volunteer work, mostly because of my eagerness to jump in and help wherever I’m needed.
A few years ago I discovered my love for hiking and camping. Sybil and I can often be found in remote forests all over Ontario. My dream is to one day travel to the north of Ontario and beyond.
I very rarely go anywhere without my Kindle. Reading is one of my absolute favourite pastimes. My parents are my number one influence on my love of reading. They constantly read to my sister and I as kids, and to this day always have a book on their nightstands. Growing up we always had some sort of library in our house, so it’s no surprise that I’ve amassed my own collection as well.
My father (who I call Pai - it’s the Portuguese word for Dad) was a professional chef for most of my life. We were quite lucky to always be surrounded by amazing food from both him and my mom, who is Italian, and can definitely hold her own in a kitchen. The love of food was handed down to my and my sister, who studied to become a Red Seal Certified Chef. My whole life I’ve been asked if I would work in hospitality. My answer has always been that I prefer to cook and host for people I love.
Once upon a time I lived on a farm and would like to again at some point down the road.
Hi, and welcome to my online office. I recognize that working with someone virtually can offer its challenges. Because of this, I want to get to know my clients on a more social level, and offer insight into who I am.
I’ve been lucky enough in my life to try a lot of different career paths. But, no matter if I was working for busy lawyers, or on some of your favourite TV shows, one thing has always been the same: I love helping people be organized.
Finding solutions to problems is something that I’ve done from a very young age, without really being aware of it. I’m incredibly calm in a crisis, and finding a simple and effective solution is one of my super powers.
Today, I assist authors in making sure that their writing time is spent in the most efficient way.
